[poem, written 8/26/15]
Amends
Your silence screams at me
Go away
Please don’t talk to me about our past
About the love that didn’t last
Your music shows you’re lying
I’m not happy like it shows
I’m sad and exposed
Please don’t share with me of trust
I can’t bare to think of us
Your smile is a grimace through gritted teeth
I just don’t want to be alone anymore
Sitting with a drink on the floor
I’m crying every night
Giving up the fight

My path to wellness is paved with gratitude. Anytime I feel out of sorts, complain too much, or can't get unstuck, I find at least one thing to be grateful for. So far, it's been working for me, and it's contagious. So, I decided to write a daily reflection book on gratitude. I'm a single mama of two amazing children. I have a passion for photography, meditation, music, sustainable living, holistic health and wellness. Sometimes life can be hard, so I love even harder.
